September 07, 2003Google News Advanced OptionGoogle's news search is lovely, but the fact that it didn't have an advanced search was driving me crazy. So I came up with one. Now Google does have an advanced search option but I still kinda like mine. Check it out. This hack is an attempt to make some additional Google News search options available. Like Google's advanced search, it uses drop-down menus. With this interface to Google news you can specify where your keywords should be found (anywhere on the page or just in the title) how many results you should get (20, 40, 60, 80, or 100), and how the results should be sorted (by date or by relevance.) Warning: Sorting by date removes that nifty "story-grouping" feature that Google News has. This interface does not require an API key. Posted to Google Hacks | TrackBack
