eBay Offers a Free Level of their API

I haven't used eBay's API too much, and part of the reason was because their API levels all cost money. But I see that now they're offering a free version of their API; you can get all the details at http://developer.ebay.com/DevProgram/membership/services.asp .

Well, it's not quite free. You have to pay $100 "Certification Fee" per application. It's also limited in that you only get 50 API calls per day. Bummah!

(If you have developed a cool eBay thing using their API, drop me a note and I'll possibly list it on BuzzToolbox.com)

It's also worth noting that Jeffrey McManus, (who works at eBay in their developer's program) has a Weblog at http://mcmanus.typepad.com/ . Some comments on eBay there, some code examples, some cute anecdotes about his two-year old daughter, etc.
