October 27, 2003Identify that FontTrying to figure out what a font is? Identifont ( http://www.identifont.com/index.html ) allows you to either try to look up a font by keyword or identify a font by answering a series of questions. The questions concern the way the letters appear with example illustrations (does the 4 look like this or this, is the J on or below the baseline, etc.) After every question you're given the number of fonts that potentially match your font and the approximate number of questions left. When you get to the end of the questions, you're given a list of possible fonts, including samples (sometimes; not all fonts have samples,) who invented it and when, and where it may be downloaded/purchased.
