October 22, 2003LA Times Gets PR Newswire ContentPress release junkies, if you're looking for a new place to read the wires you can find it at the LA Times. If you go to http://www.latimes.com/business/ and then look under Business Tools/Press Releases on the left, you'll find PR Newswire releases divided into much more specific categories than I ever found on the PR Newswire site (am I just not looking in the right place?) Here you can get releases divided into a number of categories, with the three broad categories being demographics, subjects, and industries. Click on a category and you'll get a list of relevant releases for that category along with their date and time of release; click on the release title and you'll get the entire release (registration is not required.) If you're not interested in browsing you can also do a company keyword search or a general keyword search. Nice, but unfortunately you're still getting those eight-mile-long PR Newswire URLs. And hey, when will PR Newswire stories be available by RSS feed (or even better, keyword-configurable RSS feed)? Posted to Publications-Press Releases
