USPTO Puts Trademark Dispute Documents Online

The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the US Patent and Trademark Office has put up a Web site containing images of documents available in trademark disputes. It's available at http://ttabvue.uspto.gov .

There are not many search options here; the only thing you can search by is the proceeding number. So where do you get a proceeding number? Use the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Information System Index at http://tarr.uspto.gov:81/ . Here you can search for proceedings by a variety of variables including plaintiff and defendant information. Listings found here include the proceeding numbers.

Please note that the new site containing images of documents in trademark disputes contains only complete records since January 2003, with some records available back to June 2001. So just because you find a proceeding number for "Weird-Ohs" in BISX don't expect to be able to look it up in TTABVUE.
