1555 Edition of La Relación Digitized

Texas State University's Southwestern Writers Collection has digitized and made available online the 1555 edition of La Relación, written by the Spanish conquistador Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca . It's available at http://www.library.txstate.edu/swwc/cdv/ .

From the front page of the site you can get more information about Cabeza de Vaca, view the route of his travels, and get more information about the digitization project itself. Click on the La Relación link for the digitized book, then choose Read La Relación Online.

When you visit the reading pages for the book you'll notice that not only has it been digitized, it's been translated! The book is divided into chapters; each page has its own thumbnail of the original page and a translation. Click on the thumbnail for a larger version of the page.
