A Free ISBN Database

This is still in development, but I think it's an awesome idea. The Free ISBN database has some information in it, though it's still in development. You can browse what's already available at http://isbndb.com/ .

There are already over 401,000 books here! You can browse them by category, author (hey, I'm in here!) and publishers. Initial listings include only the name of the book, the authors, the publisher and pub date, and the ISBN.

Click on the title of the book, though. You'll get additional information, including libraries which have an entry for this book, notes, and categories under which this book is listed. If you want to keep up with this site launch, be sure to register at the site. You can also pick up an RSS feed for the site or check out the two news releases for the site. Interesting idea!
