Trademark Assignments on the Web

The US Patent and Trademark Office has announced the Trademark Assignments on the Web System, available at http://assignments.uspto.gov/assignments/ . This search system allows you to find trademark assignments back to 1995 (before that you're going to have to check with NARA.)

You can search by several variables, as you might expect, including assignor or assignee name, as well as registrant name. A search for Google found a whole raft of trademark assignments from Deja to Google after their merger, including the particular trademark, date of assignment, and other transaction details.
