February 25, 2004Google Adds Wireless Froogle SearchingGoogle Labs has announced the addition of Wireless Froogle, another product of Google Labs. If you have an WML-enabled phone you can try it out at http://labs.google.com/frooglewml.html . I don't have an WML-enabled phone so you'll have to bear with me. According to the site all you have to do is point your phone at http://wml.froogle.com/ . (You can point your regular Web browser there too.) Do a search and you'll see the results, five at a time, listing price, description, and company. (Sometimes the company is less than helpful, like "Yahoo! Auctions.") Listings aren't linked to anything (understandable; Google can't guarantee that all their listings in their search engine are WML-compatible) so it's more of a ready-reference for price comparisons.
