Library of Congress Expands Flute Collection

The Library of Congress has expanded their online Dayton C. Miller Flute collection with the addition of almost 1,700 flute images (with 90 detailed views) and some other information from Dayton C. Miller's iconography and photography collections. It's available at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/dcmhtml .

Like most LOC collections, you may search by keyword or browse (by maker index, subject index, or title index) but I like the special collections here as well. Be sure to check out "Five Flutes" (especially that glass flute -- neat) the biography of Dayton C. Miller (how many biographies include an x-ray of their subject?) and the Selections from the Dayton C. Miller Iconography Collection.
