February 28, 2004Mars Rover Images A Go-GoNASA is making the Mars rover images available online. They're actually available at two different places, but I think I'll point to the Mars Tour site: http://www.marsquestonline.org/mer/ . You'll need Flash to view this site properly. When it loads you'll have the chance to see panoramic images, view the images from the most recent couple of days, examine close-ups of rocks, or go through an entire image library. The image library is divided into several tabs, including panoramas, images, and rocks. (Please note that the very very top of the page has two meta-tabs: one for viewing Spirit's pictures and one for viewing Opportunity's pictures. Choose a category at the top of the viewer and then select the day of the image exploration at the bottom of the viewer. Viewing day 53 showed 28 images are available. Click on the image for a larger view, and then click on High-Res for an absolutely huge picture. Posted to Science-Astronomy | TrackBack
