New Guide to Researching Aboriginal Genealogy in Canada

Library and Archives Canada has added a new guide, Researching Your Aboriginal Ancestry at Library and Archives Canada, to its virtual Canadian Genealogy Centre. The new guide is available at http://www.genealogy.gc.ca/02/020501a_e.html and is in HTML and PDF.

The guide is in two parts. The first part addresses aboriginal resources at library and archives Canada, and the second part addresses the Web site. The document is in outline format and covers both online resources and procedures to review more restricted records.
