February 10, 2004New York Times Announces Election News ResourceThe New York Times has announced a resource for 2004 presidential campaign news. "Times On the Trail" is available at http://www.nytimes.com/pages/politics/trail/index.html . There's a gratifyin' amount of local news here. On the left part of the front page is a collection of campaign-related news, though some stories are more relevant than others (an entire story on Joe Lieberman going to a Russell Crowe movie? A Pauly Shore movie, maybe .. but I kid Joe Lieberman...) On the right part is news ("Trail Mix"!) broken out by major topic (the race in general, the major candidates, and then some nice local news section.) Don't miss the "Offbeat" category. Toward the bottom of the page are a collection of election-oriented links as well as information about the major candidates' schedules. You will need to have New York Times registration to access some of this content, and this site is pretty popup-heavy, but the content is good. Posted to Government-Elections | TrackBack
