More Details Emerge About BBC Archive

The BBC is reporting ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/3525455.stm ) on the first stage of getting the BBC's archives online. According to the BBC article, clips of up to three minutes, including natural history footage, will be available on the site starting this fall. "The public will be able to download clips for non-commercial use, keep them forever, and manipulate and add to them. They will be able to pass clips on to one another and, in future, post user-generated material back on to the BBC's website." It'll be interesting to see how this develops.
