Yahoo Launches Sports Shortcuts

Yahoo's got a new shortcut -- giving you sports scores from some leagues. Leagues listed include NCAA (baseball and football), NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB. But I can't get the NCAA part to work.

It works like this: type in the name of your team and the word score or scores. The top of your search result will then include recent scores for the team and upcoming schedules.

This search was a bit picky. Lakers worked fine, Panthers didn't. (I had to put in Florida Panthers.) I couldn't get Florida Gators scores to come up at all. Even if there is no score available, or there are multiple teams available, couldn't Yahoo make a suggestion?

I just tried Duke score and got no results, then Duke Blue Devils score and got no results. Duke University score doesn't work either. I don't follow college basketball that much, but heck, even I know Duke played yesterday. I think this needs some tweaking.

UPDATE: I am informed that in fact it is I who need tweaking. You have to include the sport you are searching for; ie
Duke basketball scores. If you do that you'll get a special section at the top of the search results, even if there are no game scores to report.
