Search Engine and Subject Index for the Meat Industry

Vegetarians, don't look. I'll try to find you a hummus or Veat or Gardenburger Riblets search engine. In the meantime, if you're interested you will find both a pretty good search engine and a subject index of links over at MeatNews ( http://www.meatnews.com ). You'll find industry links and a Web search oriented toward links about the meat industry.

To do a Web search, use the query box on the right side of the page. A search for BSE found two results on the Web site (from Meat Processing Global.) (All searches I tried showed only two results from the site itself; you'll have to page through the Web results to see additional site search results, still at the top of the page. Search for organic, page through the Web results, and you'll see what I mean.) Below that were Web results (no count provided) from a variety of sources including the FDA, CDC, USDA, and Cargill. Note this search is not 100% tight; searching for BSD by accident did find five Unix-related Web results.

For the subject index, choose the industry links on the left side of the page. You'll see nine categories, from Agriculture to Other. Link listings show the title of the page and a pretty good annotation.
