Get Information on Lawyers In Ohio

The state of Ohio now has a site where you can look up information on lawyers. The site is free and it's available at http://www.sconet.state.oh.us/atty_reg/Public_AttorneyInformation.asp .

You may search by name (first, last, middle), as well as registration number, city, county, and zip code. A search for Smith found 599 attorneys. Search results include only name and registration number, but if you click on the name you'll get more extensive information including name, date of birth, law school, and how they were admitted (Bar exam, etc.)

If there's a discipline notice, it'll include what it was, as well as a link to a full list of discipline notices for that lawyer. There's no descriptive text, however, and I had to go to FindLaw to discover what "CLE Suspension" was.
