October 29, 2004British American Tobacco Documents OnlineThe University of California has released an archive of over a million pages of documents related to the British American Tobacco company. It's available at http://bat.library.ucsf.edu/ , but it ain't finished; it'll be added to at the rate of 200,000 pages a month until it's finished, which is expected to be in 2007. There are a couple different searches here. The basic search allows you to search by keyword, while the advanced search allows you to search both by date and a dizzying array of fields (including author, language, metadata, person, and title.) A quick search for chocolate found 782 results. Results listed included title, author, page count, and snippet. The page itself is available as a PDF file. You have the option to save each result to a folder, which may then be downloaded, e-mailed, or downloaded to OneNote. Posted to Government-Law-Specific | TrackBack
