December 20, 2004Image Library of London Transportation System AvailableLondon's Transport Museum has an online library of over ten thousand pictures available at http://tinyurl.com/62kw2 (sorry, the original URL is terrible.) The pictures are searchable by keywords. They're also divided into subjects. The subjects include underground construction, advertising, and the first world war. I looked at the subject for second world war and got 214 results. Photographs are shown fifteen thumbnails to the page, with the date and subject of the photograph. Click on the photograph and you'll get a larger picture with an extended description, source, and a little additional information. There's also a link to a slightly larger version of the picture. I searched for "air raid". I got 108 photographs laid out in the same way as the subject matches were. Some very interesting history here. Posted to Business-Transportation | TrackBack
