January 10, 2005Technorati Contest: More Developer WinnahsI was in CompUSA the other day reflecting that there were so many cool little apps circulating online that it seemed less and less necessary to buy boxes with disks in them. And then I come home and find out that Technorati has announced their developer contest winners, and man are there some good things here. The winners are at http://www.technorati.com/developers/contest.html . The grand prize winner is Joshua Tauberer, who created GovTrack. GovTrack tracks bills as they pass through Congress and what bloggers are saying about those bills as they pass through Congress. Other winners include Aaron Swartz' Personaldemocracy.com and Niall Kennedy's NetNewsWire RSS Cosmos. Nicely done to everyone, congrats all around. It seems like whenever a company releases an API or some kind of development structure that there's a great rush of talent that really highlights the possiblities of an application. I wish, I wish, I wish I wish I wish .. Google would update their API and Yahoo would release one already. Posted to Internet-Tools | TrackBack
