A Search Engine for Meeting Venues

Man, I could have used this at work about a month ago. It's a search engine for meeting venues containing information on almost 18,000 resources. It's called Eventective (and now watch me misspell it a million times) and it's at http://www.eventective.com/search/searchs.aspx .

You can search by city, state, zip code, whether or not you want the venue to be near an airport, number of people, room layout type, square footage, and keywords. There's an even more advanced search that lets you specify the kind of venue where you want to meet (BOWLING ALLEY!) and when your meeting will start and stop.

I searched for a venue for 50 people within 5 miles of Denver. I got 36 results, with several different sorting options. Search results included venue name and address, description, and the types of event spaces each had available (many had multiple venues available.) Clicking on More Info in the description provided additional information about the venue, including amenities, types of payment accepted, number of guest rooms, year it was built, etc.

Clicking on the More Info for the meeting spaces provides additional information about operating hours, supported layouts, meeting space amenities, floor covering, and total square footage.

This is a great idea and I can see it being very useful for anyone who has to plan a lot of meetings. I can't stand the name, however, it's such a pain to pronounce. If it were me I'd drop the E and just call it Ventective. Which I might accidentally do if you ever hear me talk about this site. Worth a visit especially if you're responsible for meeting planning.
