June 29, 2005Google Announces Video ViewerA couple months ago I mentioned Google's video upload program. This week Google announced a new Google Video viewer, so you can actually see the video that's been updated. Details at http://video.google.com. The viewer can run with either Firefox or IE, and is a fairly quick download/install. Of course, once you have the viewer that doesn't mean you can view every video listed in the Google Video search engine. Far from it; most of the videos I found didn't have the video available. I finally found a video available for viewing but it was a video with NSFW lyrics. (search results that have video available have a little "play" icon beside them.) Finally I got smart and searched for DDR and found a TON of videos. Once you've found a search result you want to see (I recommend "Ryan PSMO Doubles") click on it and you'll get information about it as well as a "Play whole video" link. Click on that and if you have the viewer installed the video starts. You'll also have the option of starting the video from different points instead of from the very beginning.
