July 27, 2005My Feedshake Brings All the Readers in the YardAnd they're like, it's better than yours.. oh, forget it. Feedshake allows you to mix up RSS feeds with two levels of expertise -- regular and advanced. You can try it at http://www.feedshake.com -- note the service is in beta. I've covered RSS mixup services before. I think they're nifty. I have the ability to read RSS feeds on my phone now and I'm trying to work out the best way to monitor/use a mixed feed. Anyway. Feedshake's regular user interface allows you to specify a list of RSS feeds, with a space in between each one. Once you've done that, you have some more options. You can specify how you want to sort the items in the feed. You can also filter (by keyword) which items appear in the feed. (You can also limit how many items from the other feeds appear in your mixed feed.) Once you've done that, click Finish and you'll get the URL for the mixed feed. The advanced user interface has more options as you might expect. You'll have to create a password for the feed as well as a title and description. After that you can limit the items in the feed and how you want them sorted as well as filters. In addition you can also specify any additional items tags you want in your mixed feed (like enclosure, author, etc.) Interesting. I like the idea of having a mashed-up podcasts feed...
