August 07, 2005Directory of Blogs by Tag or by SubjectThere's an interesting directory of blogs available at Blogflux ( http://dir.blogflux.com/ ). Interesting because it bypasses the standard Yahooesque directory structure, and it incorporates tags. At this writing it has more than 950 blogs listed. The directory isn't that arts/sports/reference type top level directory listing. Instead there are dozens of subjects listed, from Academic to Zookeeping. Click on a subject and you'll get a list with the name of the blog, the writer, location, and language. There's a "more details" page which show the blogs' categories, the tags, "related links" (which for the blogs I looked at were Google Ads...grrrr) and a nice box that provides quick links to a variety of RSS reader/aggregation services. You can also browse the directory by language (from Arabic to Zimbabwe) and by Country (from Afghanistan to Unlisted). You can also search by tag or browse the most fifty popular tags which include art, rss, science, and software. I like the subject listing on the front and I like the tagability. I don't like those related links being Google ads. Posted to Internet-Weblogs | TrackBack
