August 14, 2005Get Your RSS Feeds By E-MailAfter I mentioned the Perl tool for getting your RSS feeds by e-mail, which required a certain amount of geekiness and Perl-familiarity, a reader pointed me toward RMail, at http://www.kbcafe.com/Rmail.aspx . RMail allows you to subscribe to any RSS feed. It's simple; enter the URL of the feed and your e-mail address, and you'll be subscribed! Well, that's the theory at least; according to the FAQ I was supposed to get an initial e-mail telling me I was subscribed, and I haven't gotten it yet. Oh, splat, I do pick the worst time to review things; according to http://www.kbcafe.com/rss/ the servers are down. Normally this is the time on Sprockets where I ersase this entire entry and do something else. But since this actually happened last night (as opposed to ten minutes ago), is apparently temporary, and there's a blog where you can keep up with updates on the server status, I'll say go try RMail when you have a minute and the servers are back up.
