Idaho Offering Trademark Search

The state of Idaho is now offering a search engine for trademarks registered in the state of Idaho. You can access it at http://www.accessidaho.org/public/sos/trademark/search.html .

You can search in several ways, including keyword, name, or status (active, denied, abandoned, canceled, etc.) I did a search for potato under keyword.

I got 56 results presented ten at a time. The results page included filing number, keyword, business/owner name, and status. There were also sometimes descriptions of the trademarks that struck me as funny ("2 POTATOES WITH SUNGLASSES, CLOUDS IN BACKGROUND IN A CIRCLE SAYING "FAMOUS POTATOES" IN CIRCLE") If you click on the keyword link (I recommend the "Potato Goddess") you'll get additional information including the contact information for the registrant, description, goods/services, registration date, expiration date, and for the case of the active trademarks a picture of the item. A surprising number of the trademarks were expired. I was sorry about that; I really wanted to see the logo for "Lollapotato".
