Interesting Places on Google Maps

There's a directory of interesting Google Maps locations at http://explorer.altopix.com/ . The directory is user submitted and currently has over several hundred (at least) entries in a variety of categories including Urban, Nature, Landscape, and Countries.

The listings include a thumbnail of the picture, a description, and direct links to the Google Maps pages. Some of these are amazing, especially the sand writing in Nevada...
