August 10, 2005RSS Feed Generator Program from Dan BricklinThe question on Web4Lib came up on what to use to generate RSS feeds. I have an RSS feed that I hand-generate every week (not ResearchBuzz' -- all 200+ of ResearchBuzz' RSS feeds come courtesy of Movable Type), but it's tedious and I can imagine someone wanting a different/better option. The questioner on Web4Lib was asking about software to generate podcasting RSS feeds. Dan Bricklin has software that generates RSS feeds and HTML files, and it supports podcasts. It's called ListGarden and you can get it at http://www.softwaregarden.com/products/listgarden/ . It's free and available for Mac or Windows. The program allows you to create/maintain multiple RSS feeds and publish them either via FTP or locally (or both.) Note that while the software doesn't offer any support, this page walks you through how the program works. Posted to Internet-Technology-RSS | TrackBack
