September 30, 2005Finding MP3 and Other Media Via Del.Icio.Us and BlogdiggerLifehacker has a nice overview about how to find MP3s and other multimedia through del.icio.us. I love Del RSS feeds. They're great. I subscribe to a bunch of 'em. If you're looking at other ways to get MP3s flowing your way (remember, legal MP3s are good! And there are lots of 'em!) you have other options. Blogdigger has a media search at http://www.blogdigger.com/media/ . Run a search, specify the kind of media you want to search for (MP3 is one of the options) and then get the RSS feed URL from the results list (it's on the upper right.) I fed this into iTunes the way Lifehacker recommends, and it worked a treat -- gave me the list of available MP3s and downloaded the first one. Niiiiiice. If anyone else knows of search services that make media feeds available, let me know and I'll update this post. In the meantime, for an enormous listing of MP3 blogs broken out by category (hey, why doesn't mashup get its own category?) please check out http://wiki.monkeyfilter.com/index.php?title=MP3_Blog_Listing.
