September 07, 2005Yahoo Brings Back their Buzz GameYahoo has announced in their 'blog that they're bringing back their "Buzz Game" -- predict which technologies for which users will be searching in the future. There are lots of tech goodies to be won. You can get all the details at http://www.ysearchblog.com/archives/000182.html. Registration doesn't require a Yahoo account, just a user name and password. (You'll also have to confirm your registration via an e-mail they'll send you.) I went ahead and registered, though I was a little disappointed at the things that were available to be invested in. I wanted to be able to invest in FeedShake, since their FeedCatch seems to be catching a lot of imaginations. I'm kinda interested in eDonkey, since I keep seeing the name come up where I'm reading. And how about emerging search engines like Icerocket, or Exalead or Vivisimo? I know the buzz people can't accomodate every possible fantasy tech buzz investment, but how about a place where once could suggest things? Be nice to get a sense of pre-buzz.
