Content includes postcards and maps as well as photographs. Each photograph has at least a brief annotation. RLG has announced that it is joining the Open Content Alliance. The announcement is here. From the press release: "RLG's immediate role in this initiative will be to supply the bibliographic information needed to aid in materials selection and description for these searches. RLG's Union Catalog is the premier source of bibliographic descriptions for use in research and research collections management. With records for over 48 million titles, it provides coverage across subjects and material types in almost 400 languages." Into hiking? In Arizona? AZCentral.com has a database of over 300 hiking trails at hiking.azcentral.com. Hikes can be searched by region name, city name, or trail difficulty. Extensive descriptions. Maybe you're into horseback riding and in the UK. Try Bridleways ( http://bridleways.co.uk ), a database of riding trails and routes in the UK.
