November 11, 2005Metasearch for Torrent FilesDon't use it myself, but if you're a BitTorrent fan, you might want to look at Torrent Typhoon ( http://www.torrenttyphoon.com/ ), which meta-searches several different Torrent sites, including TorrentBox, TorrentSpy, MiniNova, etc. At this writing it is searching over 400,000 torrents. Searching is by simple keyword; you'll have to jump through a human hoop to prove you're not a 'bot. Search results take a few minutes and include Torrent name, size, seeds, and peers. Dead Torrents are not listed and the default searching time is two seconds per site (this can be changed to between 1 and 4; look for the preference page next to the search box.) There's an RSS feed for news updates to the site at http://www.torrenttyphoon.com/lib/xml/news.xml. Posted to Searching-Multimedia | TrackBack
