November 04, 2005Mozilla Launches Firefox Extension ContestMozilla has announced an extension contest for Firefox developers. Developers are invited to submit extensions as simple as a button or as complex as a whole new feature. Prizes include PCs, iPod Nanos, and O'Reilly books. Judges for the contest include Aaron Boodman, the genius behind Greasemonkey, and Jeremy Zawodny, one of the geniuses behind Yahoo. You can get all the official rules (the contest runs until January 6 of next year) and a peek at all the prize goodies at http://www.extendfirefox.com. What I did not find, unfortunately, was a list of the entries that have been submitted so far (if any -- I realize this thing was just announced.) I'm going to see if I can find a good search string that I can dump in Feedster and monitor. I'd rather see the entries one at a time than have to wade through hundreds of them after the contest is over and the winners announced. Posted to Internet-Technology-Browsers | TrackBack
