Google Maps + Fast Food, at http://www.hardtoremember.org/fastfood/ uses Google Maps to give you the skinny -- so to speak -- on over 27,000 fast food outlets across the country. The Web Search guide at About.com has a fairly nice list of blog search engines complete with descriptions. Signal Vs. Noise asks, "Would you pay $5 a month to use Google?. Interesting range of comments, a surprising (to me) number coming up as no. I would pay $5 a month (or even $10 or $15) a month for a "premium" version of Google; greater than 1,000 results per search, more special syntax (especially stemming) and a better idea of how the results are being ranked...
