Lovely, Information-Rich Wiki for Opera

There is a flippin' awesome Wiki devoted to the Opera browser available at http://nontroppo.org/wiki/Opera.

I've been an Opera fan and user for, literally, years. At first glance I thought that there wasn't much that this Wiki was going to teach me. I was wrong. The site's divided into several sections. Some of them are what you'd expect; OperaTips, VisualTutorials, Styling Web Pages. Then there's the stuff that made me go hmm: Editing INI Files. User Javascript. And the intriguing "Jekyll & Hyde Toolbar".

The content lives up to the section headers. The OperaTips section, for example, has tips like "Change the Sensitivity of Your Mouse Gestures", "Open some bookmarks in new pages", and "Add "View Cookie" to Opera's menu". Some of this is real power user stuff, but some of it just uncovers interesting and little-known (at least to me) commands and options in Opera. In some cases you have to get in there and edit an INI file, but the instructions for doing so are clear, and I didn't see anything overly complex.

It looks like the sections are single pages with a lot of content instead of breaking out the tips into different pages. Stylistically I consider this a bit blah. On the other hand each page has an RSS feed for updates. There's also an index for the Wiki available at http://nontroppo.org/wiki/PageIndex.

Highly recommended; a must see if you use Opera.
