March 03, 2006Extend Firefox Contest Announces WinnersYou may remember the Extend Firefox Contest -- it was open for developers to create New and Cool extensions for Firefox. It's closed and the winners have been announced! You can see the winners at http://developer.mozilla.org/contests/extendfirefox/. The three grand prizes winners are Reveal, which shows thumbnails of pages in your session history (woot! Sounds real handy), Web Developer, which adds a toolbar to Firefox that does everything from disable page elements to provide page information (I've actually used this extension for a while; it's an easy way to disable page referrals in Firefox), and Firefox Showcase, which shows you all the open pages in Firefox and lets you pick one. There are lots of other winners on the Extend Firefox page, but where are the finalists? There were a lot of entries to the contest -- how about showing everybody who made the cut? At any rate, if you want to see more available Firefox extensions and add-ins, don't forget to visit https://addons.mozilla.org/?application=firefox.
