May 03, 2006Stay Informed About Wine Events In Your AreaIf you're the wine type you might enjoy Local Wine Events http://www.localwineevents.com/, which contains an index to hundreds (thousands?) of wine events around the US and internationally. The front page has two lists of regions -- US states (sometimes cities are listed, sometimes state regions) and non-US countries (from Canada to Vietnam.) Listings include date information of course, costs (if any) and nicely detailed descriptions. You can add the event to a personal calendar or e-mail the event organizer. Event pages also have available region-related wine, food, and lodging sites (though a couple of the ones I looked at were empty.) Every region's page of events has an RSS feed just for that area (nice.) In addition, the site has a general link list and article links. Lots and lots of wine stuff, and worth a browse though I wish the wine articles had more of a description available and the classifieds were dated so you could tell how busy their categories were.
