Florida Memory Offers Spanish Land Grants

The Florida Memory Project has begun putting online their collection of confirmed Spanish land grants at http://www.floridamemory.com/Collections/SpanishLandGrants/ . This is nowhere near complete -- only letters A and B are browsable. (The front page of the site says that Acosta, Domingo through Bayley, David are available.)

The grant materials themselves are very large -- the PDF of Domingo Acosta's grant is 54 pages long. Information includes the grant declaration with a description of the land, maps, and correspondence. Most of it was legible; it's easy to enlarge the PDF file to read the stuff that might be illegible.

It isn't finished yet, so if you have an ancestor you want to look up wait. If you're just interested in Spanish land grants in general check it out.
