As I think I've said before, I'm not a beer drinker. But one thing I have noticed is that gourmet beer drinkers are some of the most dedicated fans of their hobby out there, as evidenced by site Beer Mad ( http://www.beermad.org.uk/ ). This site contains several data sets of interest to the beer aficionado; they're accessible on the left side of the page.

First is a list of brewery links of the following types: Belgian, Czech, Dutch, English, French, Irish (South & North), Manx, Scottish, and Welsh. Links are given with the name only and not annotated. The list of English breweries was the longest; the French list was the shortest.

There's a list of Pub-related links which splits the site into three parts -- the menu on the left, a list of links in the middle, and a list of "Pub Guides" on the right. Most of the Pub Guide links are annotated; most of the pub links are not.

Most interesting is a "power search" that allows you to search for breweries, beers, and locations. Searching the beer database for "Dragon" found over 35 results. Clicking on the Info button next to a result name popped up a page of information about the beer, including the brewery that makes it, the current status of the brewery (occasionally conjectured) and other beers that are created there. Some of the beers are rated; there are explanations for all information on the info page.
