CPSC Launches New Site For Recalled Items

I know you want to get out there and shop, but before you do perhaps you want to visit this site. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has launched a Web site for listing a variety of recalled consumer product categories at http://www.recalls.gov .

The categories of recalled items are across the top of the page and include consumer products, boats, motor vehicles, and food. When you pick a category, you'll see that this site aggregates pointers to recall listings, and doesn't list the recalls themselves. For example, the Boats category includes a link to boating safety circulars, a link to the recalls database, and a link to the Manufacturers Identification Code database.

I appreciate that this information has been collected in one place with such an easy-to-remember domain name, and I'm glad that the government is working to publicize the availability of online recall information. But MAN, wouldn't some RSS feeds go great with this site.
