Image Database for King County Washington Launched

Twelve Seattle and King County heritage organizations in conjunction with the Museum of History & Industry have launched a new Web site with 12,000 historical images of King County, Washington, it's called KC Snapshots and it's available at http://www.kcsnapshots.org .

You may search one of the collections or do a simple keyword search across all collections. A simple keyword search for Gates found 68 results, laid out in pages twelve at a time. Search results included an extensive title and a thumbnail; clicking on the picture brought a much larger picture and the photographer name, date, notes (most of the words in the notes I looked at were hyperlinked to additional searches) subjects, location, and additional information.
