AlltheWeb Prepares To Change Privacy Policy

AlltheWeb has an announcement down at the bottom of their page that their privacy policy will change as of February 7. The new privacy policy and the old privacy policy are both available at http://www.alltheweb.com/info/about/privacy_policy_2004 .

From a quick glance it looks like the main thing that's going to change is that AlltheWeb will start to use "Web Beacons" (Web Bugs) ala Yahoo. Not surprising since Yahoo bought AlltheWeb. I was going to check and see if AltaVista was undergoing a similar change, but had a heck of a time FINDING an AltaVista privacy policy. Even an URL you'd expect, "doc.altavista.com/legal/privacy.shtml", kicks you back to an "About" page. Did I miss it? If anybody finds it please drop me a note.
