A Search Engine for Completed Online Auctions

I find this search engine strangely fascinating. Currently it lists searchable information for 75,000 completed auctions. What could you use this for? Price-setting in an online used goods shop? Cultural mining? Potential abounds with GoHook ( http://www.gohook.com/ ).

GoHook has a clean, Googlesque interface; searching is by simple keyword (an advanced search does not seem to be active yet.) A search for "tea kettle" found 37 results. Results included name of the item, description, auction site, date, number of bids, item number, and location. You may sort by amount, date, number of bids, item number, or locations.

GoHook also has a popular searches button which seems to run a search for a popular term (I tried it three times and it ran a search for "shirt" all three times.) You may be wondering, if you're an active eBay seller, if your auctions are included here. They are not unless you've given permission. Look for the User Agreement (under the "Do you sell on eBay or UBid?" link) for conditions you'll have to agree to and a brief form to fill out. Once you do that, GoHook will start indexing your completed auctions.
