Findory News Site Adapts to Your Interests

There are plenty of news sites that will find what you're looking for, but Findory promises to find what you're interested in. It's available at http://www.findory.com .

The site advertises "Click on articles that interest you. Then come back to Findory News. Your front page will be ready and personalized just for you!" but they do offer a login page for those of us who block or regularly dump cookies. (Registration requests only a user name and password -- not even an e-mail address.)

I read one Art Garfunkel article and a whole bunch of Martha Stewart articles. Then I reloaded the front page. Findory tracks how many articles you've read (upper left corner) and marks articles placed there by your reading with a green "personalized" caption. Some of the articles made sense (like more Martha articles) while some of them didn't ("Heart attack deaths in diabetics drop sharply"?) However you can find out just WHY Findory picked a particular article by clicking on the "personalized" capition. It'll show you which articles you've already read lead to the current selection. Interesting.
