Google Offering a Little Different On Their Cache -- Cached Text Only

Big ol' props to Patrick at SEO DotComicide ( www.dotcomicide.com ) for pointing me to this. Google is now offering two forms of cached items: a full cache, and cached text only. You won't see this offering on the regular results page, though -- you'll have to do a little digging.

Run a search, and then pick a cached page. You'll see that you get the cache, but in the header of Google information about the cache, you'll also see the following sentence:

"This cached page may reference images which are no longer available. Click here for the cached text only."

Cached text only gives you, as you might expect, cached text only without images or, from what I saw, stylesheets. I don't think this is available via the Google API, or I could have a lot of fun with it. In the meantime it'll be useful when I'm looking at a cache with a lot of missing images, or which contains a stylesheet that makes it hard to read.
