Classic Cars At MotorCities

Interested in classic cars? Interested in classic car auctions? Okay, check out MotorCities at http://www.motorcities.com . There's a lot to see here.

On the front page you'll find in an highlighted position links to classic car auctions, car news, and other car material, but I found myself drawn to the galleries on the left. Here you'll find a partial list of car picture galleries, from Coupes to Woodies, and that's just an incomplete list (the full list of galleries is at http://www.motorcities.com/main_vehicletypes.html ). Some of these categories are very specific -- concrete cutters?

I picked Forklifts. ("This is the song, written for the train chase, this is the chase, Rocky and Ken! He tried to kill me with a forklift! Olé!" Um, ahem. Sorry.) The forklifts gallery features five pictures of a 1990 forklift; when I clicked on the tiny pictures to get a larger (much nicer) picture, I got a loud, you-won-a-prize, shaking interstitial ad. Ugh.

I went looking for more extensive galleries and found a gallery of seventeen buggies, from a 1897 Anthony Electric Buggy to the 2004 Volkswagen Concept T - Sports Dune Buggy Coupe. Sometimes there's analysis and feedback on a set of pictures, sometimes not. I wish there were a little more editorial on this site.

In addition to the galleries here there are classifieds for collectors, reports on in-progress and completed car auctions, and even photography tips for taking pictures of cars.
